ASP was established in 1988 and became a division of Pace Machinery in August of 1991. Jim Jenkins is the founder of ASP and he heads up the sales and marketing activities of this division. ASP brings to the market new and innovative tools and specialty products that are widely used in plumbing, heating, AC/R, maintenance and mechanical applications.
The goal at ASP is to introduce new tools that address specific everyday applications in new construction, maintenance and repair that will make the work go along easier, faster and be more profitable. PACE Machinery Group, Inc.
Ken Mitson has been designing and manufacturing machines since 1971 when he was asked to design and build a roll grooving machine. After several years of manufacturing private brand machinery for the fire protection industry, he made the decision to form Pace Machinery, with the objective of selling his roll grooving machines in other markets where pipe is mechanically coupled.
As the company grew, Mitson began adding other equipment to the line, all related to the business of preparing pipe for installation in commercial and industrial locations. From there it was an easy step to a specialization in all of the kinds of pipe preparation equipment needed by the fire protection contractor. Today Pace Machinery is one of the country's largest manufacturer of roll grooving machinery, with a strong line of other pipe preparation equipment as well. For instance, Pace Machinery also manufacturers machines which will cut groove pipe with fast, accurate set-ups for each pipe size. The Model 8100 Buck-On Machine helps to improve productivity by bucking-on a wide variety of fittings quickly and accurately.
Encouraged by the acceptance of Pace products in the industry, the Company is always searching for new ways to make its products more useful to its wide customer base.
